JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE
The Vice President of Public Relations will spearhead all PR efforts for Point and its clients, overseeing the entire process—from strategy development to execution. As the senior leader in PR, this individual will be responsible for elevating our clients’ brands through innovative, results-driven campaigns that emotionally connect with target audiences. The ideal candidate will bring a creative and strategic mindset, with a proven track record of driving measurable results.
This role will require you to collaborate closely with internal teams, agency partners, and clients, ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional PR campaigns. As the VP of PR, you will be tasked with creating concepts that align with our clients’ business objectives while reinforcing the overall vision and mission of their brand.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive PR strategies for clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand goals.
- Oversee day-to-day management of the PR team, providing mentorship, leadership, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with clients, internal teams, and external partners to drive innovative PR campaigns across media channels (traditional, digital, social).
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and industry stakeholders to increase brand visibility and drive impactful press coverage.
- Foster creative brainstorming and concept development sessions to generate fresh ideas that resonate emotionally with target audiences.
- Take ownership of high-level client communications and presentations, ensuring that strategic objectives are clearly articulated and exceeded.
- Lead crisis communications efforts, providing strategic counsel and ensuring that brand reputation is effectively managed.
- Track and report on the performance of PR campaigns, using analytics to measure success and optimize future efforts.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying new opportunities for clients and Point to remain innovative and competitive in the marketplace.
- Cultivate a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment, championing the agency’s culture and values.
- Manage, mentor, and grow the internal PR team.
- Proactively identify client needs and ensure timely and accurate communication.
- Contribute to the development and execution of client service plans that meet and exceed client expectations.
- Maintains a comprehensive understanding of clients’ businesses, brands, customers, and competitive landscapes to contribute to the development of effective solutions aligned with client’s business needs, and project goals.
- Builds relationships with each POINT competency to support the completion of client projects.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- 12+ years of marketing communications experience, with agency experience strongly preferred
- Experience in targeting both businesses (B2B) and consumers (B2C)
- Experience in the Healthcare and/or Technologies industries a plus
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- Ability to develop and manage budget forecasts, including P&L
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR campaigns across multiple channels.
- Strong understanding of media relations, influencer marketing, and digital PR strategies.
- Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn strategic objectives into engaging, memorable ideas.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and teams.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience working with high-profile clients and brands.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY
- Experience in targeting both businesses (B2B) and consumers (B2C)
- Experience in Healthcare is a plus
- Ability to develop and manage budget forecasts, including P&L, Regulatory, Quality, R&D, Study Startup, CTMS, Events Management
- Should be adept at managing a budget, be highly operational, and be able to deliver high-quality projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- An awareness and understanding of direct-to-consumer channels and the current marketplace.
