The Point Group is hiring an account executive/senior account executive to join its public relations team.  We need a media savvy communicator who thrives on delivering innovative ideas that move the needle for our clients’ businesses. The ideal candidate will have B2B experience in the technology sector but can also support clients across other industries including healthcare, senior living, and financial services.

Our requirements:

  • 3-6 years of agency or corporate experience, preferably working with B2B brands in the technology sector
  • Proven experience building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Demonstrated acumen planning, executing, and measuring campaigns, launches and day-to-day communications initiatives
  • Strong understanding of traditional media, digital and social media strategies, how to integrate campaign strategies and tactics across earned, owned, and paid media and apply analytics to measure results and provide insights
  • Media junkie who thirsts for knowledge, reads industry news, and monitors the latest trends
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with understanding of AP style
  • 4-year degree in journalism, PR/communications, business, liberal arts, marketing, English, or related subject area

What you might be doing:

  • Serving as the primary client contact on the day-to-day development and implementation of public relations initiatives across multiple B2B businesses and potentially other industries
  • Building and sustaining strong and long-lasting relationships with client-side managers and maintaining frequent contact with any other third-party agencies used by each customer
  • Executing effective media relations campaigns and consistently securing media coverage for clients across all media platforms (online, print, broadcast)
  • Measuring results and impact, calibrating activities and programs based on success and improvement
  • Creating and encourage the development of proactive ideas and programs outside “what’s always been done”
  • Developing content that can be leveraged across diverse channels
  • Conducting competitive and industry research for clients and/or prospective clients
  • Managing agency projections, billing, and accounts receivable status
  • Overseeing operational performance of multiple accounts simultaneously, ensuring quality work, deadlines, and adherence to budgets
  • Keeping team members informed on project developments and issues via regular status meetings, status reports, conference reports and meeting recaps
  • Engaging with clients to provide updates, gather feedback and execute programs
  • Managing a variety of client requests, assuming responsibility and understanding when to delegate to key team members

We are seeking a talented Senior AE join our team. As a critical part of our firm, this role is a unique opportunity to work with some of the best marketing minds with varied industry experience and business acumen who deliver innovative, real-world solutions for our clients’ businesses.

We are looking for a strong communicator with solid project management skills and the ability to provide clients with strategic insight. This is NOT a sales position. Agency experience strongly preferred.

Our requirements:

  • 3-7 years of professional account management experience, preferably on the agency side
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently and manage client relationships with minimal direct supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to deadlines, new assignments, and situations quickly
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of people at varying levels within the agency
  • Confident and assertive project manager
  • Knowledge of MS Office and a familiarity with Clients & Profits (preferred)
  • College graduate with a degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Business

What you might be doing:

  • Serving as the primary client contact on the day-to-day development and implementation of marketing communications programs
  • Building and sustaining strong and long-lasting relationships with client-side managers and maintaining frequent contact with any other third party agencies used by each customer
  • Effectively coordinating client-specific projects throughout the life cycle, as appropriate, including estimate creation, selection of appropriate projects and sub-projects, assignment of resources and monitoring project progress
  • Developing creative briefs and managing creative projects running through agency’s in-house creative department
  • Formulating strategies based on analytics
  • Conducting competitive and industry research for clients and/or prospective clients
  • Managing agency projections, billing and accounts receivable status
  • Overseeing operational performance of multiple accounts simultaneously, ensuring quality work, deadlines and adherence to budgets
  • Identifying solutions to client roadblocks, unexpected budget expenditures and other issues
  • Keeping team members informed on project developments and issues via regular status meetings, status reports, conference reports and meeting recaps
