JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE
The PR Manager is responsible for leading and executing public relations strategies for a portfolio of clients. This role will manage day-to-day media relations, oversee account activities, contribute to strategy development, and serve as a key client liaison. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, a confident communicator, and thrives in an agency environment, managing multiple accounts with varying needs.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute strategic PR plans to meet client goals.
- Manage client accounts and serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, and stakeholders.
- Secure media placements in national, local, trade, and digital outlets.
- Write press materials, including press releases, pitches, talking points, media alerts, and bylined articles.
- Prepare clients for interviews, including media training and message development.
- Monitor media coverage and create reports analyzing reach, sentiment, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal creative, digital, and strategy teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Oversee and mentor junior staff or interns as needed.
- Stay current on media trends, industry news, and PR best practices.
- Proactively identify client needs and ensure timely and accurate communication.
- Contribute to the development and execution of client service plans that meet and exceed client expectations.
- Maintains a comprehensive understanding of clients’ businesses, brands, customers, and competitive landscapes to contribute to the development of effective solutions aligned with client’s business needs, and project goals.
- Builds relationships with each POINT competency to support the completion of client projects.

- Assists in building and championing the integration of the business across all competencies within POINT.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in public relations, preferably in an agency setting.
- Proven track record of securing media coverage across various platforms.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple clients and deadlines with ease.
- Media contacts across consumer, B2B or B2C.
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- Ability to develop and manage budget forecasts, including P&L
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR campaigns across multiple channels.
- Strong understanding of media relations, influencer marketing, and digital PR strategies.
- Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn strategic objectives into engaging, memorable ideas.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and teams.
- Experience working with high-profile clients and brands.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY
- Experience in targeting both businesses (B2B) and consumers (B2C)
